Sally Fort studied fashion & textiles followed by design history and museum studies, and now gets lost in a design savvy decorative world making all manner of textile goodies – bags, purses, homeware, cards and toys; for fun, for friends and family, and for sale. Her online store can be found at www.sallyent.etsy.com.
Sally’s work is based on a sumptuous choice of vintage, Japanese and geometric fabric patterns meticulously cut, strengthened, structured, then finished off with a treasure trove of fastenings, findings and embellishments. Sally is inspired by innovative contemporary design, craft and design history, and especially adores repeat pattern and surface design - with contemporary Japanese and 20th century Scandinavian design holding a special place in her heart.
She has been sewing since the age of 4, taught by her Grandma. Sally also works as a freelance consultant for art, craft, design, museum and gallery projects.
